Well everybody knows that K-Pop stars are not just popular in their home country but also in neighboring areas as well. And IZ*ONE is definitely among them with their Japanese debut single of IZ*ONE being a certified hit only a month after it release!
The group’s Japanese debut single “Suki to Iwasetai” recently received an an official platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) after selling over 250,000 copies. Based on RIAJ’ criteria, albums are certified gold upon selling of 100,000 copies and certified platinum with 250,000 copies sold.
According to Soompi, IZ*ONE’s “Suki to Iwasetai” was able to break the record for the highest first-day sales achieved by a K-pop girl group single released in Japan. This is aside from their recent feat of topping several J-pop music charts shortly after its release.
As of this writing, their MV for “Suki to Iwasetai” has already reached 11.4 million views.
