As reported by The Jakarta Post, the conventions that will take place alongside K-Pop concerts for this year will feature a number of separate events to attract local fans including beauty-themed “KCON Girls” and “KCON Rookies,” a showcase for up-and-coming K-pop artists.
The organizers of CJ E&M have also said that the number of attendees is expected to surpass 1 million this year.
The first KCON event was held seven years ago in California and has since grown into a global festival that encompasses K-pop, beauty, fashion, TV and lifestyles.
